However, former Gators cornerback Janoris Jenkins did get selected by the St. Louis Rams with the 39th overall pick.
Jenkins fell to the second round despite being rated by some as the best cornerback available based on talent alone.
His off-field issues — three arrests, including two for marijuana, and his dismissal from UF — made Jenkins slip from being potentially the first corner off the board to the fourth.
He will join Rams coach Jeff Fisher, who has shown no fear in selecting players with red flags.
As the coach of the Tennessee Titans in 2005, Fisher and his staff selected oft-suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
